Year of the Horse July Spotlight: Fireworks & Summer Chaos
Meet Sarlo, our July Year of the Horse winner! When he arrived from Ireland earlier this year, he was already navigating a lot of change. A new country, a new barn, a new routine, and a whole new way of life. As a recently imported 4-year-old, his first Fourth of July was sure to be a test…and his new neighborhood didn’t hold back.
With fireworks going off right outside his backyard to celebrate America’s 250th birthday, Sarlo had every reason to find the sights and sounds overwhelming. Instead, he took it all in stride.
Since arriving, Sarlo has been on StressLess®, and his trainer, Erika Nesler, says it has made a tremendous difference in helping him settle into his new life.
During the holiday celebrations, Sarlo remained calm, relaxed, and confident. Rather than becoming anxious or reactive, he was able to take in the excitement without losing his composure.
“What I love most about StressLess® is that it takes the edge off without dulling the horse. Sarlo stays focused, trainable, and easy to handle while still having all the energy and athleticism he needs for his work over fences.”
A new country. A young horse. A backyard full of fireworks.
And Sarlo handled it like a pro. 🇺🇸🐎
Calm doesn’t mean dull. It means being able to stay confident, focused, and yourself even when the world gets a little chaotic.
